WHAT WE DO

Burghfield Art Group is a community art group which meets in the village of Burghfield, near Reading in Berkshire. The emphasis is on having fun while making and learning about art and other crafts. Each term we have a group theme and/or project and a programmed event. Each June the group project will culminate in June with a charity auction as part of Reading Arts Week and there is also the opportunity to exhibit at The Royal Berkshire Hospital. During the summer we go “Art & About” visiting different places to get inspiration. Socialising is important and most sessions are followed by a trip to the local pub and sometimes the pub quiz too!

WHO WE ARE?
Alongside our painters and draw-ers we have knitters, potters, printers, sculptors, felt makers and collage-ists.

WHO CAN JOIN?
We are open to anyone who is interested in art (and craft). All levels are welcome and our current membership includes hobby-ists, amateurs and professionals. We are always keen to encourage new members and can offer advice and opinion if required.

WHEN & WHERE?
We meet on Thursday evenings, 7.30-9.30pm. We have a short break over Christmas and Easter. In the summer have meetings away from the hall. The hall is The Parish Centre, St Mary’s Church, Church Lane, Burghfield village, RG30 3TG.
